2019 ELIS Opening Ceremony Speech by Maria Klawe

Maria Klawe, the president of Harvey Mudd College, will be giving the keynote speech at the Opening Ceremony of ELIS 2019. President Klawe began her tenure as Harvey Mudd College’s fifth president in 2006. A renowned computer scientist and scholar, she is the first woman to lead the College since its founding in 1955. Under her leadership, enrollment of women at the college went up to over 50% in CS and Physics, and between 42 and 55% in Engineering. She will be offering her unique insight in her speech entitled "Increasing the participation of women in tech careers" which will take place on 27th June at Leesambong Hall.
