What is WoLA?
Women’s Leadership in Asia (WoLA) is a 2-week online leadership course for emerging women leaders from higher education institutions in Asia.
Initiated and developed by Ewha Institute for Leadership Development, and sponsored by Scranton Women’s Leadership Center in Korea, the United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia, and Wesley Foundation in Japan, This course is focused on promote feminist leadership for women in Asia, advance their academic careers, and flourish in the post-COVID19 era by upholding adaptability and expanding global vision.
WoLA aims to provide an invaluable opportunity for women leaders to contribute to the promotion of gender equality, harness their leadership skills and forge a strong network with ambitious peers from various cultural backgrounds. WoLA graduates will be able to have feminist perspective and make a positive impact in their communities with confidence, visionary leadership, and mutual support.

WoLA Application with
Full Scholarship
ELIGIBILITY
The WoLA Scholarship is supported by United Board for Christian Higher Education(United Board), Scranton Women's Leadership Center, and Wesley Foundation. It covers all expenses of the WoLA course. Applicants who are mid to high-level career teaching staff, and affiliated with United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia will be given priority for the scholarship.

A full-time faculty or staff at a college or university in Asia

Demonstrated leadership within their home institutions and willingness to advance women’s leadership

Fluent in written and spoken English

The scholarship application includes two essay prompts to be answered together in no more than 500 words total.

Wire transfer WoLA program fee and attach a copy of the receipt in the application form. Your application will not be considered complete without the receipt of the program fee. *Course fees are non-refundable*

Application and WOLA course fees are due by
Wednesday, February 15, 2023.

Acknowledgment of receipt of your application and the course fee will be sent out on Monday, February 20, 2023.
